Skilfully handcrafted in Montegranaro, Italy, the AJAX sneakers feature the best materials and techniques: the upper is made from the finest leather, beautifully distressed, and sits on a lightweight Rubrex outsole with impressive, artful carving for optimal grip and traction.
The dimensional, tonal finish results from a meticulous artisanal process that starts with hand-buffing natural crust leather and then applies additional dye layers by hand once the shoe is stitched.
To create a distressed, urban look, this style also undergoes an exclusive antiquing process called stone washing, consisting of washing the shoe in open washing machines filled with water and pumice stones.
The beautiful patina is then emphasised through careful waxing and brushing.
Everything is in the details, and some things can be felt but not seen: the cotton thread, cushion footbed, arch support, calfskin lining, and leather reinforcements, to ensure excellent comfort and durability.
