The YORK collection showcases a beautifully welted profile and hand-crafted, vegetable-tanned water buffalo leather outsoles, cut from the double butt of the hide. The authenticity of the material is evident in the characteristic wrinkles and lines visible on the sole, which we have chosen to leave uncovered by rubber pads.
To create a distressed, urban look, this style also undergoes an exclusive antiquing process called stone washing, consisting of washing the shoe in open washing machines filled with water and pumice stones. The shades of uneven intensity are then emphasised through careful waxing and brushing.

The YORK shoes and boots are all hand-dyed, stone-washed and treated for a worn-in, distressed look, so they don’t need to be kept pristine. They are meant to be lived in and become part of your story. The more worn-in, the cooler they become, displaying a lifetime of memories and stories.
That said, regularly caring for your shoes will nourish them, increasing their softness, water resistance and comfort. And, it goes without saying, the more you care for your shoes, the longer they will last.

I have had problems with these boots from the start. I use the laces not the zipper to secure boots. However, the zippers can come undone. I am actually a 7.5 in size. However, as this is not an option for shoe sizes I go with the size 8. I do have my boot tight. Due to the quality of boots I thought this would not be a problem. I have had the boots for a long while. However, only worn them a maximum of 8 times. This has left me with the view the design is a problem.
I can't question the quality, I have spent over £1500 on the brand in a 2 year period. This is clearly a design issue which impacts on those that like a very tight fit on their boots. As a returning customer I expected Untamed Street to resolve the issue without further cost to myself. However, I am now left to accept Untamed Street value their quality over good customer services.

We’d like to clarify a few important points in response to your review. The boots in question were purchased in February 2023, which means they’ve been with you for over two years. While we always stand by the quality and longevity of our products, it’s not feasible to offer a replacement with a different design after such an extended period of ownership.
That said, we did offer to repair the boots free of charge, including covering the cost of shipping both ways, which remains available to you. Our boots are constructed using premium materials throughout, including zippers supplied by YKK — a global leader in high-performance, luxury-grade fastenings. From your description, and the pic you shared, it sounds as though the boots were worn quite tightly laced, likely to compensate for sizing. As you mentioned you are typically a 7.5, our recommendation for this style is to size down, as it has a generous fit. A size 7 would likely have offered a more suitable fit and prevented excess pressure being placed on the lateral zips.
